Paint weavings are dreamscapes: portals through which ancestors speak, forests that listen, rivers that hold in their flow the promise of endless oceans. Line and dot are fundamental units in the composition of movement – the intermingling of light and shadow on 2-D canvas – calling forth ghosts of past and future times, asking their guidance in the ongoing search for deeper understanding and (re)learning of ourselves, and of those around us.
Impressionism broken down into its bits and pieces, and arranged with the (un)natural world in mind, paint weavings prioritize beauty over convention, and encourage the viewer-participant to interpret the state of their being in the present moment. Big feelings lie beneath tiny brush strokes.
